Lake Vermilion Fishing Report – East End
The smaller 10-12 inch walleyes are taking over some of the typical early June spots with bigger fish mixed in if you wait it out and work for them. The good part is there is lots of action to be had when you find them.
A few bigger fish are showing up in the rocks and that should continue to improve if the water ever hits 60 degrees!
Keep looking in the 18 to 24-foot range for the most consistent bite with some of the best fishing happening around lunch time.
This week, I had anglers from 10 years old to 92 years old including 3 generations of one family in my boat. There were multiple times these father and sons had doubles of beautiful walleyes.
The bass are still pre-spawn and are slowly moving up shallow.
