Lake Vermilion Fishing Report – East End
The weather over the past week has had a major effect on the mood of the walleyes with “here today, gone tomorrow” being the major theme of the week. There are definite bite windows occurring throughout the day, so don’t give up on your spots where you know there are fish.
The fish are not as active in the deep mud anymore and are starting to show up on the sand and rocks in shallower water. When the water warms up and the bug hatches start, the deep mud may turn on again. A typical day over the past week in an 8-hour trip has produced limits every day with around 20-40 walleyes boated in the typical trip.
Have fun on the water and let’s hope for some warmer weather!
